• Identity Leakage

  It's interesting to see how much information you can learn about people just sitting around at the airport. This past Sunday, I flew out of Dulles airport and running a bit late I arrived just 45 minutes before my flight (so I wasn't sitting around there all that long).   Today I received my first spam email in the Italian language. What does this say about spammers sending this to a ".de" email address? What does it say about the success rate of spam? • They Just Don't Get It....

  Received this email the other day from Chase (the banking folks who are frequent targets of phishing attacks). I'm still amazed that financial institutions continue to send emails to their customers with active hyperlinks and directions to use those links. This encourages the exact behavior that makes their customers susceptible to a phishing attempt.
